On May 17, 2023, Denise Mutamba was recognized as a legal trailblazer for being the first Black female elected to represent the 15th Judicial Circuit on the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar Board of Governors. The ceremony was held at Palm Beach Lakes Community High School. During the ceremony Ms. Mutamba provided advice to student’s enrolled in the school’s law magnet program. Other trailblazers recognized were Kalinthia Dillard, Ava Parker, Pamala Ryan, and V. Lynn Whitfield.
