Contingency Fee

In a contingency fee arrangement, the client pays a percentage of the monetary amount only if they receive a settlement or win their case.  MDM Legal, pllc honors the industry standard and collects 25% for settlements reached prior to a lawsuit suit being filed and up to 40% for cases settled or won after a lawsuit is filed.  Not all clients matters are suitable for acceptance on contingency and MDM Legal, pllc takes great care in analyzing each matter to offer the best pricing structure.  Sometimes that structure includes a hybrid of the various pricing options.

Hourly Billing

In an hourly fee arrangement, the client pays the attorney a specific dollar amount for each hour the attorney works on their matter.  Hourly billing is the most common pricing structure lawyers use to bill clients.  All matters handled by MDM Legal, pllc are available on an hourly billing pricing structure.  Depending on the scope of work and complexity of the matter, MDM Legal, pllc will require clients to be billed hourly.  Clients billed hourly will receive regular invoices (monthly or bi-monthly) which are expected to be paid timely.

Retainers

While not a pricing structure, retainers may be required for certain clients or client matters.  A retainer fee is an advance payment that’s made by the client to the MDM Legal, pllc.  The retainer fee is kept in a special account, and when MDM Legal, pllc performs work for the client, it deducts the amount billed for the work performed.  A typical initial retainer covers at least 10 hours of work to be performed for the client or on the client matter.
